My favorite movie.

My most favorite movie is "HANA-BI". I watched this movie when I was high school student. "Hanabi" is Japanese. (It means fire works in English.) This movie was directed by Takeshi Kitano in 1998. Do you know him? He is famous among Japanese as a comedian and a movie directer. Recently he shoot a comedy films, but in 90's most of his films were violence movies.

HANA-BI is violence but very silently movie and its story is very sadly. Music is greate. The Director, star and scripwriter was Takeshi Kitano. Its story is escaping from cops and Japanese mafia. Main characterr is a man "Nishi" [actor is Takeshi Kitano] He was a cop but retired because of death colleague. Second main character is Nishi's wife "Miyuki"[actress is Kayoko Kishimoto]. She is sick. Nishi retired his job and he became poor, but he must pay a doctor's bill. So he borrowed money by Japanese mafia many time. One day, her doctor told Nishi, "your wife cannot live longer. You should better to take her outside and pass the rest of her life with her." Nishi decided to travel with his wife but he has a debt. He must pay it or bill collector will chase them but he did not have money, so he committed a robbery bank. He payed debt, but mafias want a rest of money Nishi robbed, so they chase them and cops got a aim of criminal, they also chase him.

OK, I think explaining is enough. Please watch your own if you got a interest of it.

In the last scene of this film, Miyuki says "Arigatou, gomen-ne" (it means nearly Thank you and I'm sorry) I remember in English subtitles of this, that part was translated "Thank you forever"(I do not remember completely) I think this nuance, between Japanese and English is quite different. If you are not Japanese, you should better study Japanese a little before watch this film. [334 words-total 1826 words]
